Newsletter February 2019
Welcome back to Pre-school. I hope you all had a lovely half term and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
I would like to welcome Ruo, Delilah and their families to Pre-school.
Focus: We will be sharing the stories, ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ and ‘The Day the Crayons Came Home’ over the next week or so, leading up to our celebrations of World Book Day on Thursday 7th March. These stories concentrate on different colours and what we might use them for and we will be painting yellow sunshines, printing with green apples and bubble painting water pictures with blue paint. As we move into March we will be exploring our woodland area, looking for signs of spring. As we approach the Easter holidays we will be taking part in an Easter Bonnet Parade and singing session with reception class. I will send more details about this when we get the dates and times confirmed from school.
World Book Day: We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March. All the children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character or in their favourite colour in line with our focus story, ‘The Day the Crayons Quit.’
Pre-school Sessions: If your child becomes entitled to more funded hours after the Easter holidays could you let us know as soon as possible what hours you would prefer to take up. We are filling up rapidly and have a waiting list of children wanting to start at Easter. Children currently in Pre-school do get priority but it would be very helpful if we have your requests in as soon as possible!
Website: Just a reminder that our newsletters and weekly planning are put on our website https://bollinbrookpreschool.org/
